Early in her career as an Amazon warrior, Sagaris had what she considered a really boring job. Her role was to accompany Amazon herbalists into the wilderness and protect them from wild animals and roving bandits while they foraged for rare plants used for cooking and healing. But it was on one such errand that she had a life-changing idea.
The herbalist in her charge had just found a large patch of freshly flowered gold crocuses and had excitedly dropped to her knees and begun cultivating them with her sickle. Too excitedly, it turned out. In her haste, the herbalist accidently sliced off one of her own fingers. Witnessing this bloody spectacle, Sagaris couldn’t stop laughing. You could really hurt someone with a curved blade like that. And there was so much blood!
Upon her return to the village, Sagaris went straight to the blacksmith and gave her instructions to forge the now legendary Great Sicklesword, a weapon designed to slice through limbs like they’re the stems of plants. While a herbalist wields a sickle with delicate precision (when they’re not accidentally chopping their fingers off, that is), Sagaris swings her Great Sicklesword like a scythe, sweeping it from side to side, causing grievous, bloody wounds to anyone within range. She’s an absolutely lethal frontline fighter, especially against teams that rely on healing.
