While most cultures in Gladvald associate tigers with strength and cunning, in the Amazon tradition the tiger is a symbol of ecstasy and insanity, with Amazon rituals in praise of their tiger god seeing worshipers working themselves up into a wild, hedonistic, often violent frenzy. And that ought to tell you something about the kind of cat Sabreclaw is. It doesn’t have a middle name, but if it did, it would be “Frenzy”.
Sabreclaw, like all Shapeshifters, is an extremely effective late-battle Champion. Under the right circumstances, and with just the right timing, Sabreclaw is more than capable of wiping out whatever’s left of the opposing team single-handedly (or single-clawededly, if you prefer). The key factor is that, being in a bloodthirsty frenzy and all, Sabreclaw isn’t usually thinking strategically at the moment that it shapeshifts and pounces. Sometimes it’ll pounce on an isolated enemy who’s nearly dead anyway, and that’s a waste of a good ambush. Sometimes though, it’ll pounce upon a tightly packed group of enemies (ranged Champions with weak Defense, ideally), and hack them to pieces in seconds. And those are the times when arena commanders are glad to have Sabreclaw in their team.
